One Ummah Foundation has recently initiated a significant project in Barishal, Bangladesh, aiming to establish a new water well in memory of Thierry Rupert. Once completed, this well, numbered 162, will be located in Atipara village, providing clean water to 59 people from 12 families who currently have limited access to safe drinking water.

The Daily Struggle for Clean Water

For the residents of Atipara, accessing clean and safe water has long been a daily challenge. Most villagers here are day laborers or small-scale farmers living on modest means, often forced to rely on unsafe water sources for drinking and cooking. This lack of access has led to widespread health problems, impacting the well-being and productivity of the entire community. This ongoing One Ummah Foundation project aims to drill a well to a depth of 850 feet, ensuring a consistent supply of safe water and reducing water-borne diseases in the community.
