Morocco Needs Your Support: Help Rebuild and Save Lives

Article image

A devastating earthquake struck Morocco on the night of the 8th of September. As the death toll continues to rise—with more than 2,900 lives lost and over 5,600 people injured—the people of Morocco face a long and challenging road to recovery. In times like these, it is imperative that we come together as a global community to provide immediate relief for those in need.

The earthquake had a magnitude of 6.8 and caused extensive damage south of Marrakech. Shaking was felt not only in Morocco but also in neighboring Algeria, Portugal, and Spain. Many homes have collapsed and entire villages have been flattened, leaving countless families homeless. In the village of Tinmel, almost every house has been reduced to rubble with residents trapped under. The scale of devastation in remote areas has made it challenging for emergency services to reach those in need, adding to the loss of life.

Our brothers and sisters in Morocco are in dire need of our assistance. Our goal is to provide essential assistance including: food, clean water, medical supplies, shelter, and long-term recovery support. Your generosity can make a significant impact on the lives of those affected by the earthquake. Please click the link below to donate now.
