Please Help our Libyan Brother and Sisters

In the coastal city of Derna, Libya, a terrible flood came, claiming the lives of over 11,000 people. Triggered by heavy rains from Storm Daniel, the flood unleashed a wall of water that surged through the city, sweeping away entire neighborhoods and leaving behind a trail of destruction. Over 10,000 people are still missing and more than 40,000 people are displaced across northeast Libya. Heart-wrenching scenes of devastation have marked the aftermath of this catastrophe. Bodies, some severely decomposed, remain in the floodwaters, making retrieval a challenging and urgent task for rescue teams.

The two dams in Derna, which were built in the 1970s, had not received proper maintenance despite allocated funds. Rescue teams from various countries have been working tirelessly to retrieve bodies and provide relief to the affected areas. However, their efforts are hindered by the scale of the chaos and the challenges of reaching remote locations where bodies are still to be found. In response to this humanitarian crisis, One Ummah has launched an initiative to support the Libyan people. Please click the link below to our Launchgood campaign to donate. And keep our Libyan brothers and sisters in your Duas.
